Coming from a family of teachers where the rights of children were always respected , where we were taught that child dreams should have no limitations, and the most important thing is to learn by playing. This vocation has also taught me that motivating children to learn is the best gift you can give them.

Iv’e been blessed to be raised by wonderful parents who always implemented love and respect in our family. With the teaching background of previous generations, we were always taught and treated as adults, they gave me the confidence to dream big and always reminded me that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to. Now, I am able to pass it on to younger, future generations and positively influence them to have the same mindset achieving greater things.

As a mom of two amazing kids, and coming from a generation of teachers I can say I have learned a lot, especially from 2 awesome human beings, my parents. Not only did they teach me how to always look at the positivity of the world, but to also have confidence, empathy, wisdom, love and respect for myself and others. It warms my heart to be able to share and help build these little human beings, so they can make the decision to be anything they want to be, and confidence to grow and be successful, where they themselves can have a huge impact on generations to come.

Since a young age I was very observant and loved to learn. my mother says that if at that age I would of had a teacher that taught me what our children learn, I would have seen the greatness of learning. In our family we have we’ve taught our children that asking questions is a positive way of learning, that will open up their minds. It is important to help them grown being sure of themselves, without fear of asking questions, no such thing as a bad question.

Hi my name is Lorena Padilla. I went to school and graduated Chabot community college in Hayward. Throughout my years in college I became a part time nanny.  I soon realized that I wanted to switch my major from business marketing to ECD (early child development). I love how creative and curious children are, they each have their own personalities and embrace them. My goal as a teacher is to encourage children to feel confident in themselves, have fun while learning, and learn how to work/socialize with others, since these are traits that they will need in the long run as they grow. I look forward to getting to know each child and work with them at L&PP. I strive to be the best teacher that I can be by helping each child with their strengths and strengthen areas for improvement. No child will ever be left behind!
